In an effort to develop the potential of children
from underprivileged and marginalised sections of the society, Kashmir Education Foundation (KEF) has dedicated itself to make quality education accessible to the children belonging to the less fortunate communities of the society. Banjosa Valley Public School-BVPS, close to Hajira, AJ&K commenced its classes on 24th March, 2009 and is situated within 2 km from the famous Banjosa Lake.
The total cost of construction exceeded Rs. 25 million. Besides KEF UK, funding for BVPS was provided by Mr. Hasan Askari, Mr. George Goulding and a few other philanthropists from UK. The BVPS has been constructed to take classes up to Matric and is equipped with all the modern educational and recreational facilities.
