The family of Mr. M. Akram Khan Cheema, OBE, ex OFSTED Inspector and Secretary KEF UK has donated 48 kanal of land in Village Sang Khurd near Chakwal. The designing for the school is in progress and hopefully the ground-breaking ceremony will be held during 2010/ 2011.
Expansion of ITE:
Considering the usefulness of ITE in promoting and facilitating quality education in rural areas, it is planned to increase the capacity from present 75 to 200 with additional hostel facility. Subject to availability of funds, this project will be undertaken in 2010/11.
Establishment of Talent Schools/ITE close to each Provincial Capital:
KEF has elaborate plans to set up talent schools on the line of its existing institutions near each capital and subsequently in each District/Tehsil. With the expansion of school network, KEF plans to establish ITEs at each provincial level for rural teachers.
Other future projects in the pipeline are schools at Gujarkhan, Pattoki, Bahawalnagar, Sialkot, and Mirpur.
